Event Summary:
Nature journaling is a valuable method to record your observations on nature that can help you whether you are a gardener, a citizen scientist, an artist, or just want to learn more.
Event Description:
Gardeners use journaling to record what grows from year to year along with observations on the weather and other conditions. Scientists and naturalists, not just artists, have used journaling for centuries to aid them in their discovery process. This program explores the history and ways that we can harness the energy of sketching and writing in our everyday life. Reconnect with nature, slow down and breathe while you learn about the world around you.
These programs will be held at the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library on the second Saturday of each month, from 10:30-11 am. You will find us in the lower ground level room. Enter from the rear riverside entrance of the library.
Nancy Huffman is a member of the Hill Country Master Naturalists and serves as the President of the Native Plant Society of Texas, Kerrville Chapter. She is also a lifelong artist and teacher and can help you learn many hacks to make journaling an easy and enjoyable process.
