Edward Rogers will discuss issues and solutions concerning light pollution with a focus on flora and fauna.
Event Description:
This event is part of the new training class of its visit to Selah, Bamberger Ranch Preserve. A veteran Dark Skies presenter, Rogers will use the Hill Country’s Dark Skies slide presentation as a springboard for an examination of the effects light pollution has on plants and animals. He will share a handout on actions the attendees can take.
Ed Rogers served as a career professional in the not-for profit fund development field, as a certified fund raising executive through the Association of Fund Raising Professionals. He served roles as a chief development officer in youth development, health care, medical higher education, free enterprise education, and community fund drives. Ed retired in 2018 from Boy Scouts of America-Alamo Area Council, where he managed fund development activities since 2003.
