Event Description:
These en plein air workshops will engage participants of all ranges and abilities who have an interest in Sketching in the Garden. The focus of each workshop will change monthly; participants are welcome to attend all or some workshops. Mark Blizard, Professor of Architecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio, is an experienced sketching instructor, having taught sketching in Italy, and is currently writing a book about the practice of sketching as seeing.
Participants should bring the following supplies: drawing pencils (American Tombow MONO drawing pencil, 4B pencil, or Prismacolor Ebony), pencil sharpener, sketching tablet (Batchmore Sketchpad 9×12, 100 sheets or similar), folding stool, or portable chair. Supplies will be available for purchase in the Garden Gift Shop.
Cost: $15 (13.50 member).
