Event Summary:
An introduction to the Texas Water Specialist (TWS) Program and Study Group for the TWS Course.

Event Description:
TPWD’s Texas Water Specialist Program is a great way to become a knowledable citizen scientist with specific knowledge of water. This class will introduce you to the program, how to become certified, and how to serve. Becoming certified is a great first step toward becoming a water monitor, water conservationist and more.

You do not have to be a Texas Master Naturalist or have any other special qualifications to become a Texas Water Specialist. You just need to be curious and have a desire to learn. Texas Water Specialists who certified in the past and would like to have a refresher are welcome to come join in.

The introductory class will be held on Jan 13 from 10:00a-11:00a. Regular classes will be held on 01/27, 2/10, 2/24, 3/09, 3/23. Each of these classes will meet from 10:00a-12:00p. Each Water Specialist in Training will receive a copy of the textbook: Texas Waters: Exploring Water and Watersheds.

Come join us at Riverside Nature Center as we complete the Texas Water Curriculum and then move on to more. Seats are limited to 20. Reserve your seat today.
