Event Description:
Ken will give a thorough explanation of hazards, avoidance measures, and general species descriptions of venomous vertebrates and invertebrates of Bexar County.
Ken Diehl was employed by the San Antonio Water System as an Environmental Protection Specialist IV from 2002 until his retirement in 2021 where he provided overall support to the Department of Resource Protection and Compliance. This included the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and data interpretation to ensure the protection of SAWS’ drinking water supplies, Pre-treatment, Recycled Wastewater, and Storm Water programs. He also worked to comply with the Endangered Species Act, developed Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs), and worked in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs).Join us for a morning bird walk. You will learn life histories of our avian residents and migratory feathered friends. All ages and levels of experience are welcome!
