Event Description:
In this class, we will discuss the ancient geology of the Llano Uplift, show the presence of a once-great mountain range, the Llano Mountains, and explain its creation by plate tectonics. We will also cover Reveille Peak Ranch, which is home to a world-class outcrop frequently visited by universities.
Instructor Frank P. Caramanica, Ph.D., is a former university instructor with a worldwide practice in subsurface petroleum geology. He is currently practicing as consultant to clients.
