Dr. Kerns and Dr. Redmon will instruct landowners how to prepare and protect pastures from Desert Termites. The desert termite is one of the most common species in western Texas. Learn the biology of desert termites, explain s how to distinguish them from ants and other termite species, and gives tips for managing them. As we prepare to buffer our pastures to withstand summer temperatures and La Nina effects the undesirable unintended and unaccounted effects from Desert Termites inevitably factors in!. What do we know about these foragers and how can we protect our pastures from them?
