About the presenter: Julie Althaus Crawford joined the Native Plant Society when she retired to Fredericksburg in 2019 because she enjoys growing things and wanted to learn about the plants in the Hill Country, and to meet people with similar interests. As she got more involved, sharing that learning and advocating for native plants also became goals. Julie has a BA in Theatre, with a minor in Business. (She is the Fredericksburg Chapter’s treasurer.) Her 40+ year career in the nonprofit sector included serving as a professional Girl Scout, managing a community theatre, and 23 years as Executive Director of the American Association of Community Theatre. Her “retirement” job is managing her family’s legacy ranch.
