Event Summary: This is a monthly talk with a new nature-related topic every month. Talk will be followed by a walk through the Native Plant Garden to see the birds in their habitat.

8/14/2024: Examine how birds are defined by their diet, beak and other physical characteristics, foraging techniques and habitat.
‘You are what you eat ‘ – or maybe more accurately – ‘what you are determines what you eat’ when your primary foraging technique doesn’t involve a grocery cart.

9/14/2024: Monarchs on the Move: Hear about the where, why and how of our Texas State Insect’s spring and fall migrations

10/12/2024: Road Runner, Woody Woodpecker & Pals Using famous bird characters as a starting point, we’ll discuss the real-life Tx Hill Country roadrunners, woodpeckers, owls and a few of their cohorts. Kid-friendly means fun, entertaining and informative for ALL ages.
