Event Summary: Kim Ort lead a tour along the Guadalupe River. She will define the term “invasive” and discuss reasons for how and why these plants are here, and the damage they do to our environment. This AT is optional, and open to the New Class 2024 Only.
Event Description: Kim Ort is a Texas Master Naturalist and Wildlife ecologist, with a vast knowledge of Native Plants, Grasses, and
the Hill Country. This talk will focus on riparian plants and trees, including exotics and invasives. Please wear comfortable walking shoes for trails, water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and insect repellent. The Dietert Center will not be open, so please come prepared.
