Explore how to start a beehive with this online beekeeping course for beginners. If you are a beginner and interested in getting started, this course will walk you through all the basics of beekeeping. Learn how to raise bees in your backyard and understand how much it costs to start beekeeping.

This 4-hour course is the perfect DIY beekeeping guide. It will answer your questions about:
Honeybee biology,
Beekeeping equipment and suit options, and
What to expect during your first year of beekeeping.

We highly recommend completing the course prior to field day.
Those registering this fall can also participate in a field day. Put on a bee suit, get into a hive, learn how to handle the frames and tools and do some beekeeping tasks. Waiver required to participate.

You must sign a waiver to participate (provided at field day sign-in).

Bee suit provided. Directions to apiary in south Boerne will be provided.
