Webinar Summary: This seminar explores the fascinating world of sound-based bird identification, from field techniques to the technology used to recognize and track bird calls.
Webinar Description: On 11/19 Kristi Dranginis will lead a session on the skill of “birding by ear” perfect for honing your listening skills and enhancing your birding experience.
The event continues on 11/20 with an engaging presentation from BirdWeather, spotlighting how cutting-edge technology transforms sound recordings into bird identifications and contributes data to citizen science
The virtual event link will be distributed via email 24 hours prior to the event’s commencement. The final email reminder containing the link will be sent on November 19 & 20 at 4pm both days. To ensure access to the seminar recordings, please register for the event by the deadline on November 20, 2024 at 11:59pm. Please note that access to the seminar recordings will not be available to those who are not registered for the event. Seminars will be recorded for later viewing by registered participants. There will be no refunds issued for this event.
