Event Description: Take action to protect our property from the threats of wildfire. Learn more about a pass-through cost share
grant opportunity! Presentations will be geared towards residents living in the wildland/urban interface, or where humans and their structures intermix with vegetation, with the goal of encouraging homeowners to take action to protect their property from the threat of wildfire.
Wildfire concerns affect both urban and rural residents of our county. The City of Kerrville is included in the wildfire mitigation and CWPP (Community Wildfire Protection Plan).
Texas A&M Forest Service will also discuss a pass-through cost share grant opportunity for landowners to complete mechanical wildfire fuels reduction; https://tfsweb.tamu.edu/mechgrant/ .
