Event Description:

02/08/25 Creating Habitat for Pollinators, Presenter: Sheryl Pender. This presentation addresses the essential job of native plants in creating the habitats that benefit wildlife and outlines pollinators needs in the garden. We will talk about the requirements of butterflies, moths, bees, birds and other beneficial insects.

04/12/25 Got Milkweed: Milkweed of the Hill Country, Presenter: Nancy Huffman.  In this presentation, we will discuss the need for milkweed and what we can do to protect it. Beyond monarchs, we will talk about insects that are reliant on this plant and a little plant biology. In addition, we will outline the different examples of milkweed that you can find here from the common to the rare.
