Event Summary:
The Texas Waters Specialist program aims to develop a corps of well-informed volunteer specialists who provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of aquatic resources and aquatic habitats within their communities for the state of Texas.
Event Description:
This study group will meet at the Riverside Nature Center on the following dates/times:
1/11/2025, 12:30p-2:00p @ Riverside Nature Center (RNC): how to record in VMS, download curriculum, service (AT=1.5h)
1/25/2025, 12:30p-2:30p @ RNC: chapters 1 & 2 (AT=2h)
2/08/2025, 12:30p-2:30p @ RNC: chapters 3 & 4 (AT=2h)
2/22/2025, 12:30p-2:30p @ RNC: chapters 5 & 6 (AT=2h)
3/08/2025, 12:30p-2:30p @ RNC: chapters 7 & 8 (AT=2h)
3/22/2025, 12:30p-2:30p @ On the River: chapters 9 & wrap up (AT=2h)
The group will discuss chapters as indicated. At the conclusion, students will qualify as Texas Waters Specialists and Texas Master Naturalist will have completed 11.5hours of Advanced Training.
