VT: Albert & Bessie Kronkosky State Natural Area Nature Challenge Project-Bandera County

The plant team is organizing an outing on April 29 at 9 AM for the City Nature Challenge, a special project of iNaturalist, which is a citizen science website.  Individuals upload photos or audio recordings of any form of flora or fauna to the site that they then identify using their own knowledge or ID suggestions provided.  Your assignments become research grade when confirmed by other iNaturalist observers.

City Nature Challenge is 4 days of iNaturalist observations in Metropolitan Areas worldwide: April 28 – May 1.   Albert and Bessie Kronkosky SNA is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Area.  Some of you are already participating in iNaturalist.  For those who are not you are still invited to attend and help locate specimens to document or even better to join iNaturalist by putting the app on your cellphone and using your cellphone camera to store and/or upload photos.  We will be adding not only plants but also birds, butterflies, herps, insects and fauna of any kind.  Please invite your friends who are Master Naturalists or NPSOT members who would like to become acquainted with ABK to attend with you.
