Riparian Baseline Survey, Bessie’s Creek
Tuesday and Wednesday, June 18 & 19, 8:00 a.m.
Open to all volunteers depending on availability of vehicles and certified drivers. Difficult terrain includes occasional saw briar, poison ivy, ground wasps, deadfall and slippery surfaces. Heat and humidity, ticks and mosquitoes as well. Goals include identifying water features prior to road and trail construction; refining canopy cover measurement; and verifying coordinates from previous observations
