This is a monthly talk with a new nature-related topic every month. Talk will be followed by a walk through the Native Plant Garden to see the birds in their habitat.
This class is for beginning birders who are interested in Woodpeckers and would like to get better at finding and identifying them. The class will include two online classroom sessions and one field trip to a local Austin birding hotspot to find and identify these ingenious birds.
Texas Nature Trackers with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are launching a new citizen science project December 2024 for bat monitoring, We will have a virtual training on Sunday December 8th at 2pm, followed by a field training day on Sunday December 15 at 2pm. This is a great opportunity to get 4+ hours of advanced training before the end of the year, and we will train TMNs on a volunteer project they can do on their own speed and time (as long as it is on one of our approved field days)!
All levels of birding experience are welcome. This will be a good opportunity to practice and expand birding skills.
