I retired to Kerrville in late 2003 with my husband from Orange, Texas, where we had lived for 32 years. While living in Orange, I was a teacher and school principal. Once we were in Kerrville, I knew I wanted to grow native plants on our 25 acres, so I enrolled in the Class of 2008 Hill Country Chapter TMN to learn about native plants and begin volunteering in the area. I have been Data Manager for our chapter since 2009 monitoring the Advanced Training and Volunteer Hours of our Chapter members. My other volunteer projects have included the Kerrville Schreiner Pollinator Garden, the Texas Wildlife Association L.A.N.D.S for youth, and Riverside Nature Center. I am also a member of the Kerrville Chapter of NPSOT.
