The weather finally cleared just long enough for most of the mud to dry, allowing heavy equipment back in the Lost Pines Nature Trails parking lots and paddling trail take-out area to continue the make over.
The Paddling Trail take-out area was filled with several loads of bull rock then topped with recycled asphalt.
Lime was spread over the remaining wet part of the old boat ramp parking area to quickly dry it out.
By the end of the day, the last mud hole was dry enough for the road crew to spread the first load of recycled asphalt.
The “wildlife” on the left is not a coyote, its our dog, Sugarfoot. He’s our road inspector – heading down to check it out.
