The Texas Master Naturalist – Cradle of Texas Chapter is pleased to host our 7th Annual Advanced Training Day on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 8am-3:30pm. This in-person event will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Angleton. Breakfast and light refreshments will be provided by chapter member volunteers, and the chapter will provide a lunch of delicious hoagies and beverages for all attendees. Participants will receive 6 hours of Advanced Training credit.
Our theme this year is “Small but Mighty: Insects” and we are excited to welcome a great line-up of speakers and topics, as follows:
We are also offering an optional Mothing event at Brazos Woods Preserve in West Columbia on Thursday, June 13, 2024 beginning at 7:30pm (end time TBD by level of insect activity.) Participants will receive 2 hours of Advanced Training credit.
This year’s event will also include a display contest, with prizes to be awarded by an anonymous panel of judges based on relevance to theme, presentation of content, and creativity. There will also be a Peoples’ Choice Award determined by attendees. If you would like to create a display, please indicate that when registering for the event.
