The count is consistently one of the top ten in the state and finds the largest number of species of any on the Upper Texas Coast. Habitat includes seashore, barrier islands, prairie & woodland. The circle is divided into ten areas, each with its own leader & unique habitats. For information & assignments, contact compiler Mike Austin (mj_eh@comcast.net).
