BCLS Summer Reading Club – Pearland West Side Library

Volunteers needed to introduce kids to the world of Texas Reptiles and Sea & Shore.
A rewarding experience for kids and volunteers alike.

Master Naturalists will be presenting a display with live animals, snakes, and alligators as well as items from the Gulf Coast Sea & Shore during the events.

Check with Ruby for details on a specific event or date

Approved for up to eight(8) hours of VT + Travel Time
(1/2hr setup, 2hrs per session, 1hr Lunch, 1/2hr cleanup)

Celebrate nature with Sea Center Texas! This is a free event to attend. Participate in Catch-&-Release fishing, pet live reptiles, watch the Birds of Prey show, and more!

This is a free event to attend. Activities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Youth Catch and Release Fishing, 9 A.M. to 11 P.M.
  • Live Reptiles, Learning Activities, and More, 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.
  • Birds of Prey Show, 11 A.M. & 2 P.M.

Volunteers are needed to assist with our TMN-COT booth.

Jimmy and Luanne Salinas are the champions of this beach clean-up effort.

We will assemble at the Quintana Jetties.

Items to bring include:

  • Trash grabbers
  • 5 gallon bucket
  • Gloves
  • Mosquito repellent
  • comfortable clothing/hat
  • close toed shoes
  • sunscreen
  • water or refreshments (your choice) We will have some bottled water available
  • sunglasses
  • Clean Swell App
