DFNC Educational Pond and Native Garden Habitat Workdays

Message from Kathy Pittman:
After discussions with the staff at the Delores Fenwick Nature Center, we are setting up the THIRD SATURDAY and the preceding Thursday each month as workdays at the wildscape area.   We will meet 8 am – 11 am ( or whatever time in between that you would like).    It’s a great opportunity to see some awesome bird species, visit with the folks out for a walk about the native plant species or the critters in the pond, and get some fresh air.
For August, our workdays will be Thursday August 14th and Saturday August 16th.   Hopefully some volunteers can come during the week and others on Saturdays.   There will be a volunteer sign up at the Nature center for you to sign in order for the staff to track who is there.
Address:
5750 Magnolia Pkwy
Pearland, TX  77584
Bring your hand tools, gloves, water and bug spray, and also waders if you don’t mind going into the water to remove overgrown plants.   If you want to bring a snack to share, that would be wonderful!  The Nature Center staff will provide trash bags and some tools as well.

These workdays will continue each month and is a joint project with the Brazoria County Master Gardener Association.   I hope to see you there!   Thank you for your support!
