A Science & Nature Festival
Join the Big Country Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists for Wings on the Wind at Abilene State Park on Saturday, October 17th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This family-friendly event features interactive nature and science activities, educational booths, wildlife displays, hands-on learning opportunities, and more. Visitors can explore topics including birds, pollinators, insects, native plants, wildlife, wind, seeds, conservation, and outdoor recreation.
Event Highlights:
- Over 20 educational tables and activities
- Hands-on activities for children and families
- Nature demonstrations and wildlife education
- Opportunities to explore the park and trails
- Food and drink vendors available onsite
Admission:
- Event activities are free
- A $5 cash donation per vehicle is requested at the park gate
