by Shannon Ng, class of 2025

The wait is almost over! Applications for the 2027 Blackland Prairie Texas Master Naturalist training class open October 1 and close October 31, 2026.

Are you a current member? You are our best ambassadors! If you know someone who loves nature, conservation, and giving back to their community, share the application link with them. A personal invitation goes a long way—many of us joined because a fellow member reached out!

Are you a social media follower or newsletter subscriber thinking about joining? This is your moment! The 2027 class is the perfect opportunity to turn your curiosity about Texas’s natural world into hands-on learning, lasting friendships, and meaningful volunteer service across our prairies, wetlands, and woodlands. Apply here.

Mark your calendars, spread the word, and get ready to grow with us. The prairie is calling!
