Aquatics class at Connemara Meadow Preserve – June 3, 2023

On Saturday, June 3, members of the 2023 BPTMN Class joined LuAnne Ray for a “make-up” class on Aquatics in Connemara Meadow.

We had a lovely and informative walk along the riparian area by Rowlett Creek and learned about the importance of diversity within that area.

The group then went to the pond, where we learned about macroinvertebrates and did some pond sampling.

Many interesting critters were pulled out of the pond!

The results were that the pond in Connemara is very healthy, and everyone learned a great deal about riparian and aquatic systems while enjoying a gorgeous morning at Connemara.
