In 2025, the Blackland Prairie Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to conservation in North Texas. With a dedicated volunteer force of 260, the chapter contributed a staggering 42,945 hours of service to local communities. This collective effort represents tens of thousands of hours spent on habitat restoration, environmental education, and citizen science, highlighting the chapter’s role as a vital steward of the Blackland Prairie ecoregion.
National Volunteer Week is a time to celebrate the power of people to tackle the world’s greatest challenges—and here in the Blackland Prairie.
We are thrilled to showcase our chapter’s 2025 stats:
- Total Volunteers: 260
- Total Service Hours: 42,945
Whether you were out volunteering at our partner’s site, participating in city park workdays, attending community education events, or documenting local biodiversity, your hands-on work makes a measurable difference.
We believe that goodness isn’t a future goal—it’s happening right now in every project you touch. By showing up as your authentic selves and finding your niche within our hive, you make the Blackland Prairie Chapter thrive. We are so grateful for your presence and your ‘best,’ whatever that looks like today.
Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time, heart, and soul this past year!
