
A Mothing BioBlitz uses UV lights to attract and record nocturnal insects. It’s a “species snapshot” for that location and date, utilizing the iNaturalist app. We encourage attendees to record observations in this free app.
When: Saturday, June 14, 8pm – 11pm
Location: Plano Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, 5901 Los Rios Blvd, Plano, TX 75074, USA
Special Guest: Sam Kieschnick, Urban Biologist with Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Dress: Routine dress code for activity in the field: Long pants, boots/close-toed shoes; long-sleeved shirts are recommended, and any attire appropriate for the weather. Master Naturalists should wear their name badges.
Bring: Drinking water, insect repellent, and a flashlight to help you find the way back to your parked vehicle.

· If you’re attending and observing/learning about insects: Enter one hour AT (only) in: AT: BPTMN: Other Pre-Approved Training. Be sure to enter the event name, location, and speaker name “BPTMN Moth Squad” in the description box.
