“I just can’t believe I waited so long to get involved with TMN.”
Vicki Sanders
I’m very excited to have reached this milestone! Attached is a photo of me volunteering at the Heard Museum with Emory the Rat Snake.
I volunteer at many different places: The Heard Museum (animal care, Butterfly House and Animal Trail Docent), Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (bird care and training and I’m working on being part of their Education program), Holifield Science Learning Center (animal care), Connemara (I raised a group of newly hatched Bob White quail until they were ready to go to the grow-out pen in the Meadow – 4 to 5 weeks).
I’m on the Communications Team and work on social media postings and search for appropriate VH and AT offerings for our Chapter.
I’m certified as a Texas Stream Team member and a Texas Water Specialist and am working to coordinate those individuals in our Chapter interested in these activities and certifications. I’m also on the Training Committee and just can’t believe I waited so long to get involved with TMN. I love everything about it. I consider myself a “generalist” because I want to learn about everything…and then I can’t wait to share it with others!
