BPTMN’s 1st Annual Mothing Event
Charlise Hill Larson, 2019 and 2021-2022 Vice President – o celebrate National Moth Week, July 23-31, the Blackland Prairie Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists is hosting its 1st Annual Mothing Event. We’ll meet on the evening of July 30 from 8-11p in the Pecan Grove at The Connemara Meadow. Jean Suplick, Lisa Travis and Rick Travis will be setting up their mothing equipment so that you can a fun and educational evening in the meadow.

Bob Mione, 2012 – There have been lots and lots of great photos taken of the wildflowers at the Meadow. I’ve never seen a better one than this, taken by Connie Roschlau Ball. I call this plot the “Maureen” plot, named after a friend of mine’s wife, who really loved the wildflowers of TX.

Al Baume – Beck’s Prairie @ Connemara Meadow
We rescue Little Bluestem here and transplant it in the Connemara Meadow. Beck’s is a native prairie remnant, never been plowed. I believe this grass was grazed by American Bison.
