Jean Higgins, Project Leader
Plano Parks will soon be breaking ground on a brand-new parking lot and pavilion at Oak Point Park and Nature Center—construction is set to start at the end of October or in the first few days of November. Ahead of that work, we’ve been busy rescuing native plants and seeds from the area, and now we’re planning an extra workday to save even more while we still have access. If you need plants for your own project, this is the perfect opportunity—join us on Thursday, September 18th at 8:00 – 11:00 AM! There’s an excellent supply of green milkweed, along with several other native species.
Please reach out to me if you plan to attend, so I can provide you with instructions on where to meet. Jean Higgins [email protected] or text me at 214-673-9187.
