About Our Chapter, By Our Chapter Members

Every 1st of the month, our newsletter is published celebrating the chapter’s various volunteers and their projects fulfilling The TMN Mission. Thank you to both members and the Board for keeping The Coastal Prairie Chapter Courier an award-winner! With a talented team of reporters, photographers, proofreaders, and editors who work to keep issues sharp and free of errors, each issue is easy to read, whether viewed on a big screen, continuous scrolled on a laptop, or pinched-and-zoomed from the tiniest smartphone.

MEMBERS: Always check the Editor’s box of each issue for submission information. The deadline for articles in is generally the 25th of each month. Submit articles as unformatted or lightly formatted text (TXT, DOC, etc.), and be sure to include photo captions with credit also within the article text. Provide images separately as full-resolution JPG or PNG, with the wildlife subject in the center “tic-tac-toe.” For size context, 400 words with 2-3 photos results in 1-page, 600-800 words for 2-page. Upload to #submissions-courier channel on Slack or consult Tuesday’s Weekly Bulletin for instructions on emailing the editor team. We welcome guest articles from partner organizations.

2026 – Current Volume 14

Starting in 2026, all Courier issues will be shared via a website blog post around the 1st of the month. Each issue will remain in its own PDF viewer with feature articles listed in the post; this way they can be searchable on our website. You can either sign up to receive the newsletter OR follow the blog to have it delivered by email when it posts.
