Howdy TMNs!
Well, it is officially the climatological Spring of 2022 and we are in hopes of an abundant wildflower season in our ecoregions! In preparation of our high hopes, there will be a volunteer clean-up of the Chapter Wildscape Project at Stephen F. Austin State Park on Wednesday, March 9 at 8:30AM. I expect we will be finished by 11:00AM. The Wildscape project has been an excellent outdoor learning adventure for our volunteers and park visitors alike. This being the first full workday of 2022 I am eager to see what the winter season has done to shape the native resources we have put in place.
Our goal will be to clear out the surface of dead debris and put down a native mulch layer. Bring appropriate tools for the activity. Afterwards you are welcome to explore the park at your leisure.
