How the Texas Litter Database Supports Conservation Action
Tuesday, June 16 @ 6:30-7:30 PM CT
- Kirsten Sorensen, Senior Program Manager, Research and Cleanups at Keep Texas Beautiful
- Join Keep Texas Beautiful for an overview of the Texas Litter Database, a statewide tool designed to turn cleanup data into actionable insights for conservation. This webinar will introduce how litter data collected across Texas -on shorelines, in parks, and along waterways – can be used to identify trends, inform resource management, and support protection of outdoor recreation areas. Participants will learn what data is collected, how it aligns with conservation goals, and how agencies, organizations, and volunteers can use the database to strengthen litter prevention and cleanup efforts. This session is ideal for partners interested in understanding the role of data in protecting Texas’s natural resources.
