Event Summary:
It’s finally bluebonnet season! Well, bluebonnet propagation season that is.
Event Description:
Texas bluebonnets are annual plants, meaning they go from seed to flower to seed in one year. They germinate in the fall and grow throughout the winter, and usually bloom around the end of March to mid-May. This makes fall is the best season for planting bluebonnet seeds. In this hands-on class, families will learn the tips and tricks for successfully planting, germinating and transplanting bluebonnet seeds. Learn how to care for your seedlings and successfully transplant them into your family’s garden. Registrants will even be able to take home their own sowed bluebonnet seeds to plant in their garden.
This class is open to families, youth and adults, ages 5 years and up. No prior experience is necessary.
This class will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Space is limited and registration is required. Masks are optional. Please review our safety guidelines here.
