Event Description:
Water is Life. Rainwater harvesting and watershed stewardship, the focus of this February presentation, has been the essence of Billy Kniffen’s 31 years as a Texas AgriLife Extension Service Water Resource Specialist. He gained practical experience on his own home in Menard, Texas. He and his wife Mary are solely dependent on rainwater in their home.

Mr. Kniffen is presently retired from TAMU but not from education. He has developed the Menard River Place training center to help those wanting to capture water. The water need can be as simple as in home use or as complex as filling the needs of livestock, wildlife and irrigation.
