Hike Enchanted Rock and learn its history, geology and biology.
Event Description:
Join a park ranger or Master Naturalist as we hike to the top of Enchanted Rock.
Along the way, we’ll learn about the geology, history and biology of this special place. We’ll hear tales of derring-do and see sweeping panoramic views!
Guided Summit Hike details:
Meet at the Gazebo at the beginning of the Summit Trail.
Time: About 2 hours.
Distance: 1.5 miles round trip.
Elevation gain: 425 feet.
Bring:
All programs are weather dependent — if it rains, the Summit Trail and all elevated trails and areas of the park are closed.
Cost: Entrance fees: $8/adult; children 12 and under are free; no additional fees for park programs. Entry is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
Reservationsare required to enter the state natural area on weekends, holidays or school breaks. You can check day pass availability and make reservations online at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com.
