Event Description:
Meet at Butt-Holdsworth Library to discuss the book Nature Fix and the research behind how nature improves a multitude of mental and physical problems exacerbated by urbanization. The book explores many cultures methods from Japan’s forest bathing to the origins’ of Kindergarten in the Finish forest. The author found in her research just 5 hours a week improved mental clarity, improved cognition, and the results lasted for several days.

Florence Williams spent several years traveling the globe to research the effects of nature on people. She found that the more time people spent in nature, the healthier they were both mentally and physically.
