Ten months of each year Master Naturalist John Siemssen provides us with a copy of a “PLANT OF THE MONTH” that he has researched as to its usefulness in the Hill Country Garden. He does this for the Lindheimer Chapter of the Native Plant Society, and we like it too!!
This is a wonderful way to get to know the plants of our area, as well as to provide ideas for plantings in the native and nearly native landscape, which we should all be endorsing, especially in this time of drought! We applaud the Native Plant Society for using this as a tool to help members save water and provide native plants to help the wildlife of the area. Thanks to you too John, for all the research and time it takes to do this!
