The Bridge Maniacs team recently completed installation of a new bird blind in Bob Bryant park in Bastrop. The Texas Master Naturalist – Lost Pines Chapter partnered with the City of Bastrop, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), Bastrop County Audubon Society, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) on this project.
The posts and wood for the end screens came the property of Don Ross, a Texas Master Naturalist in the Lost Pines chapter. The Cedar planks were cut from a salvaged tree at a local saw mill.

According to eBird, 158 species have been identified at Bob Bryant park. This new facility should help novice and experienced birders in Bird City Bastrop to continue adding to this list for many years to come.
