Winners at Master Texas Naturalists Annual Meeting

The Lost Pines Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists won three awards at the recent annual meeting of the Texas Master Naturalists in Houston. Allen Guisinger gave a presentation about the Bridge maniacs bird blind project, which was covered in a recent blog post on this site, and won $300 prize for third place in the 2022 Exemplary Project Fair. Here is a video of his presentation:

Next up, Michelle Belden, our chapter videographer, took third place and a $250 case prize for her video “What is a Master Naturlist.” This video features Louis Ridlon speaking in front of the bird blind from the previous video.

Our chapter also includes some great stills photographers. This year Randy Mikel won a third place ribbon in the Wildlife Birds category for his photo “Hootie is Watching You!”

Congratulations to all of our chapter’s winners!
