When I drove to the site, I was thinking, “Ok, the Hill Country, so what”. I love the Hill Country but why is this spot so special to all the other places I have explored through out the years. When I started the tour and stopped at the pile of rocks, again, I was thinking, “so”. I have piles all over my property in Dale of petrified palm tree rocks. (Snob huh.) When I walked down the paved road, I could feel something change in me about the property.

When I arrived at the hieroglyphics, I realized I had truly came upon history beyond my imagination. And I was standing on top of it. I felt chills throughout my body. Being French Canadian Indian, I connected with my ancestors. My paternal Grandmother’s maiden name was, “Cayeaux”.
It was a wonderful experience!
