Registration for our Chapter’s New Member Training Class for 2024 is now OPEN!

The course covers a number of topics about the natural world as outlined by the Texas Master Naturalist state office. We will cover such subjects as…

  • Soils
  • Botany
  • Entomology
  • Herpetology

  • Ornithology
  • Weather & Climate
  • Water Resources

2024 Class Schedule Download

When & Where Are the Classes?

New member training classes will begin 27 August and run through 12 November 2024!
Classes will be on Tuesday evenings at 6-9pm at the Biodiversity Research and Teaching Collections (BRTC), plus 5 Saturday field trips:

  • 7 September (Introduction to Citizen Science, iNaturalist, Terrestrial Habitats)
  • 28 September (Fish and Aquatic Systems)
  • 19 October (Terrestrial Plant Ecology and Identification)
  • 2 November (Urban Landscapes)
  • 9 November (Habitat Reclamation)

How Do You Register?

Download the application form below and submit it to the New Member Training Committee.
Applications must be received by 16 August 2024

Tuition is $165 per person ($295 for couples sharing a textbook) and can be paid through our online store:

The tuition for an individual covers one Texas Master Naturalists textbook, thumb drive with information, maps, and handouts; one TMN BV name tag, and speaker fees.
