BioBlitz – Bat Walk

April 26, 2019 @ 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM

BioBlitz is a large-scale biodiversity awareness event put together by the Texas A&M Chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology. It is free and takes place at Lick Creek Park on April 26-27th. On Friday at 8pm, there will be a bat walk to observe nocturnal wildlife. Saturday is the larger portion and runs from 9am-2pm, where a variety of booths focused on mammals, reptiles and amphibians, birds, fish, plants and insects will be set up and have live displays of local wildlife found in the park. The main goal of the event is to spread conservation awareness and allow people of all ages the chance to connect with nature through interactive activities. Everyone is welcomed, including your furry friends (must be on a leash)!
