The Galveston Bay Area Chapter, Texas Master Naturalist Beach Hero Program is proud to announce the 2023 Art Finalists: Ronny Saravia (Burnet Elementary), Jewel Stripling (L A Morgan Elementary), Aubrey Daughtry (Crenshaw Elementary), and Lillyana Rosas (Parker Elementary). The mission of the program is to provide a positive opportunity for grade school children to artistically depict their commitment to combating plastic pollution. The program started in 2018 and has reached over 2,000 students in Galveston Independent School District.  All artwork will be on display at the 2nd Annual Community Art Exhibit on January 13th at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston. Art cards are also created with each finalist image. Cards are made available for sale with all proceeds going towards financing the program. Join us in congratulating the finalists, all participants and the incredible volunteers that support this amazing program!!
