Dick Benoit, one of the founders of the Galveston Bay Area Chapter – TX Master Naturalist, was awarded the Terry Hershey Bayou Preservation Award this year. Dick has been a master naturalist since 1999 and has over 15,000 volunteer service hours. He is one of the true pillars of our chapter serving as president, mentor and teacher through the years. Congrats Dick on a well deserved award.
