Education & Outreach

GBAC Outreach events help the chapter fulfill the Texas Master Naturalists mission of “providing education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the state of Texas”. How can you help us? Participate in an outreach activity! These are usually events held in our community where we have a booth (usually a table) with (1) an easy educational activity (we have several to choose from) and (2) information on the Texas Master Naturalist program. It’s fun, rewarding and easy. But it’s impossible without volunteers. Please consider volunteering.

Other Ways To Help the Outreach Team

Do you know of upcoming events that are geared towards promoting nature and volunteerism? If so, we might be able to staff a booth at the event. Send information (name of event and contact information) to outreach@gbactmn.org.

Speakers Bureau

Do you have a passion for a special nature topic?  Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge? Consider joining the GBAC TMN Speakers Bureau.

The Speakers Bureau exists to educate the public about any and all things related to our favorite subject: Texas’s Natural Resources! Speakers are members like you who engage civic and homeowner associations, non-profits, schools, and many other clubs and groups through in-person and/or online presentations. Our Speakers Bureau offers a variety of speakers on a variety of subjects  to groups looking for insightful, impactful programs.

We’re seeking enthusiastic speakers and fresh topics to be added to our Speakers Bureau. Whether birds set your heart a twitter or you think snakes are the best thing ever, whatever you are passionate about is a topic we’d be interested in promoting.

For more information or to sign up, contact outreach@gbactmn.org.
