This workshop is for those who wish to learn about the diurnal (daytime) raptors that inhabit and migrate through the Galveston Bay area. We will discuss how to identify and count hawks, why and where they migrate, and how hawk watch data is collected and used.
Those attending will be encouraged to participate in the spring Sylvan Beach Hawk Watch as observers or counters.
All chapter members are welcome including the 2017 Spring Training Class.
