This message is for all GBAC Master Naturalist who are energetic, young at heart and spirit and enjoy working with 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in an outdoor environment. The very popular and important Camp Wild will take place the week of June 6-10. You are invited to an organization meeting Friday, February 26th at Carbide from 1-3pm.
We encourage all who worked the camp last year and other years to come to this meeting too.
Our goal this year is to provide the best outdoor experience to children who would not be able to attend camp otherwise. They will meet new friends and learn to work together. They will also learn about the exciting wildlife and ecosystems in the park and learn how to conserve our beautiful environment.
There are many different roles that need to be filled to make this a successful camp. Unit Leaders, Assistant Leaders, first aiders, bus riders, people to teach seining and kayaking. We need people who will lead beach, bay and bird walks and many other important roles.
Come join our camp and let your inner child come out and play and share your love and knowledge of our natural world. If you cannot come to the February 26th meeting but can work the camp, please call or email me. Let me hear your questions and suggestions too.
